CupcakKe is no stranger to an outrageously titled song. With a back catalog of iconic tracks like "Deepthroat," "Squidward Nose," "A.U.T.I.S.M.," and "Queef," to name just a few, she thrives off of shock factor, and expecting unhinged and borderline unpublishable track names has become part and parcel — and ultimately the fun — of being a CupcakKe fan. But the Chicago-based rapper perhaps bests her own track record with the title of her upcoming song. Called "One of My Bedbugs Ate My Pussy," the what's-sure-to-be wild release is due out June 9.
Fans online have already pointed out that the single sounds like it's come straight from from the desk of Quan Millz, the TikTok viral Black romance novelist behind titles like Old THOT Next Door and This Hoe Got Roaches In Her Crib.
The thing about CupcakKe though — and what gives her career the longevity she's enjoyed and keeps the whole thing from devolving into pure schtick — is that despite the new song's title, she'll probably end up delivering a straight heater. Over her now decade-long career, CupcakKe has proven that giving into a schtick doesn't mean she has to compromise her craft; she can still get Shakespearean with her explorations of the squelchiness of sex, elevating raunch into pure art.
CupcakKe released her last album, Dauntless Manifesto, in 2024, arriving with singles "Backstage Passes," "Dora," "Grilling Niggas," and more. "One of My Bedbugs Ate My Pussy" is her first solo release since, and hopefully the beginning of a bigger project.
